July 2010 Update Notes - Analysis & Best Bits

Hey! Today I will be breaking down the July Update notes, and telling you some of the best bits I have found, some maybe you have missed!
( and probably some I have missed too! You can always read the patch notes on this page )

So lets begin!

You may now begin your adventure to Celestia, meeting some new enemies along the way!
( However these quests were planned to be required to gain entry to Celestia, however now they are not mandatory- They are very tricky! )

"An urgent message has come from a faraway world!. For those of you who have completed the Final Countdown quest in Dragonspyre, visit me, Halston Balestrom, in Ravenwood. I urgently need your assistance!

These are the Preview Quests to Celestia. The world of Celestia will be available later this year. Note: Due to community feedback, these preview quests will not be required to gain entry to the new world of Celestia when it is released."

"Snorri Oysterbloom in Grizzleheim wants to speak with you, but only if you've completed the quest "I'm with the Band"!"

These new quests were developed and designed with Eric Bloom of Blue Oyster cult!

You can now find a crafting recipe npc in grizzleheim, where you can craft cool new items like an aquarium, toy train set and more!

You can also craft a special Grizzleheim House for Master Artisans only!

"The crafted Grizzleheim house will be a definite challenge even for our Master Artisan Crafters. Please note this house can only be crafted once per character and if you already have the maximum number of houses (3) on that character, you will not be able to craft this house."

"We know you love your homes, but sometimes unwanted guests arrive, so we're giving our players more ways to control who is in their house.

1. There are now privacy options to only allow your Friends (but not their friends) to teleport to your home. Look for this in the Privacy Tab when you press ESC in the game.
2. The owner of a house can send guests away with the "Send Away" option. Just click on a Wizard in your Home and the Friends panel will appear, where you will see the option to "Send Away". The Wizard that was sent away will receive the message "The owner asked you to leave.""
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   Some changes have been made to pets...
   ( and yes the price of hatching is one of them, hooray! )
   
   "The prices for Hatching pets have been adjusted.
   1. The process of pet Hatching now has a confirmation window to ensure both parties agree to the transaction.
   2. All new level 48 quest reward pets will receive the Power Pip talent.
   3. Life pets such as the EarthWalker will have life boosts, not Myth like some currently give.
   4. IceZilla is now only available through the hatching process."
   
   
   And Pets now appear to cast the card which they give their wizard when equipped!
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   

   The difficulty in dragonspyre has been changed to "bring Dragonspure more in-line with the difficulty to reward balance of other worlds of the Spiral."
   
   
   "the health of many creatures has decreased
   

   1. the experience rewards have been increased
   2. fewer creatures will need to be defeated to meet quest requirements
   3. fewer items will need to be collected to meet quest requirements
   4. several of the gauntlets have fewer rooms"

   
   Crowns Shop-
   
   New Items!!
   
   -Unicorn Mount!
   -Grizzleheim House!
   -Celestian Sword!
   -Beastmaster Clothing Set!

   Other points of interest-
   
   New Pet Shopkeeper in Marleybone
   ( next to secret spelltrainer in digmoore station, down the stairs! Shh! )
   
   Feint will now display all debuffs on player AND opponent correctly.
   Yes, It is completely fixed now.
   Right?
   
   
   And last but not least,
   Commander Canteloupe has been promoted to Captain Canteloupe!
   Hooray!
   
   
   Remember! These are only some things we have selected from the patch notes!

   ALSO IMPORTANT-
   If you obtained your School Specific pet from the level 48 quest, between May 25 2010 and July 8th 2010 it will not have the Power Pip chance talent.
